Fire Department Jobs

FIRE ENGINEERS (2) - Currently accepting applications for Fire Engineers with the Beaufort Fire Department.  This position requires a minimum of three years fire fighting experience, State certificated FF Level I, and Driver Operator certification.  Medical Responder certification or higher preferred, but not required.  Salary range $26,529-$39,196.  Applications may be obtained at Town Hall through this web site.

MAINTENANCE WORKER-Duties include, but are not limited to collecting leaves, mowing, and assisting w/varied construction and repair projects.  Work involves the use of a variety of tools and small equipment.  Salary range $18,856-$27,856. 

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE WORKER-Duties include but are not limited to routine maintenance and general up keep of town facilities to include buildings, parks, boardwalks, piers, street signs, landscape and appurtenances.  Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and electric work are necessary.  Salary range $19,798-$29,248.  Closing date June 20, 2008.

WATER DEPARTMENT:


SUPERVISOR - Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance work related to ensuring a safe and adequate water supply.  Must be able to operate water wells and pumps, colect well and distribution samples, and maintain precise and accurate records and reports.  Well System Operator and Distribution Grade B is required.  Salary range $30,711-$45,375.
