April 25, 2025: Notice is hereby given that the Town of Beaufort Board of Commissioners will hold quasi-judicial hearings on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Train Depot, 614 Broad Street, Beaufort, NC to consider the following: SPECIAL USE PERMIT REQUEST - Case No. 24-09 - A request from Kris and Beckie Davis for a Special Use Permit for “The Periwinkle”, a bar with indoor and outdoor operation at 406 Live Oak St in the Cedar Street Mixed Use (CSMU) zoning district. SPECIAL USE PERMIT REQUEST - Case No. 24-11 - A request from Leslie Allred for a Special Use Permit for “The Watering Hole”, a bar with indoor and outdoor operation at 816 Cedar St in the Cedar Street Mixed Use (CSMU) zoning district. April 5, 2024: PUBLIC NOTICE: The Town of Beaufort will conduct the bi-annual cleaning of Oceanview Cemetery on May 8, 2024 in accordance with Town Ordinance Sec. 95.08 - Removal of Debris. The Town conducts cemetery clean-ups twice per year. The public is notified at least 30 days in advance of each established clean-up date. Per the ordinance, town staff are authorized to remove and dispose of all loose items including, but not limited to, flower arrangements, vases, and trinkets.

March 25, 2024: Notice is hereby given that the Town of Beaufort Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Train Depot, 614 Broad Street, Beaufort, NC to consider the following: ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT- Case No. 24-07: A staff initiated text amendment to modify Section 8D & Table 8-8 of the Land Development Ordinance to allow Tavern/Bar/Pub with outdoor operation as a Special Use in the CS-MU District. March 21, 2024: Starting in April, Board of Commissioners Regular Meetings and Works Sessions and the Planning Board's Regular meetings will be live streamed on the Town of Beaufort's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BeaufortTown. Please note the live stream is subject to technical difficulties. 

February 28, 2024: Notice is hereby given that the Town of Beaufort Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Train Depot, 614 Broad Street, Beaufort, NC to consider the following: REZONING REQUEST- Case No. 24-01: A request to rezone the two parcels of Beaufort Village condominiums on Lennoxville Road from Residential Medium Density District (R-8) to Townhomes, Condominiums, Apartments District (TCA).
