The Town of Beaufort utilizes a mass notification platform called Regroup to send its citizens weather and other emergency alerts, as well as, road closure and water/sewer outage notifications.
In today’s ever-changing environment where communication is critical and a crisis can quickly arise, this cloud-based system enables us to utilize Regroup to broadcast messages alerting of pending or present emergencies efficiently.
This system distributes notifications simultaneously through various communication formats, including email, text messages (SMS), and voice broadcasts. These notifications will inform recipients of the emergency or situation, provide the appropriate actions to take, and provide ongoing updates as the situation progresses or is resolved.
