The Town of Beaufort invites residents, property owners, business owners, and other community stakeholders to participate in a Community Conversations event as part of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Update Project.
Current work on the UDO update focuses on Module Four, including proposed revisions to the Town's Subdivision Regulations and Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance. These regulations help guide how land is divided and developed, while also supporting flood resilience and protecting public safety.
Join us on Wednesday, June 24, at Beaufort Elementary School Cafeteria to learn about the proposed updates, ask questions, and share your ideas. The event will be held in an informal, drop-in format with two opportunities to attend: 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 5:00–7:00 p.m. There will be no formal presentation, allowing participants to engage directly with Town staff and the project consultant at their own pace.
Community input is an important part of the UDO update process and will help shape Beaufort's future development standards.
For more information about the project and to submit digital feedback, visit the Town's UDO Project webpage.
