Officer Bullock is one of the dedicated School Resource Officers (SROs) serving the Town of Beaufort, who plays a vital role in keeping our schools safe while building meaningful connections with our youth! A typical day as a School Resource Officer begins with a visible presence on campus, greeting students and staff as they arrive and helping ensure a safe and positive start to the school day. Throughout the day, the SRO remains actively engaged, monitoring school grounds, assisting administrators when needed, and serving as a trusted resource for students. Whether it’s providing guidance, resolving conflicts, or simply being a friendly face in the hallway, this role goes far beyond traditional law enforcement. What Officer Bullock enjoys most about his job is the opportunity to work closely with children and truly make an impact on their lives. Building relationships with students is at the heart of his role, and it shows in the trust and respect he earns each day. By being approachable and consistent, he helps foster a sense of safety and connection within the school environment! Serving the Beaufort community means more than just protecting... it means building trust, especially with the next generation. Scott takes pride in being a positive influence and role model for Beaufort’s youth, helping shape their perception of law enforcement through everyday interactions. Bullock says that one of his most rewarding moments was outside of school, when a child recognized him around town and runs up for a hug. It’s a simple but powerful reminder that the relationships built at school extend into the community and truly make a difference! When asked about his favorite thing about Beaufort, Bullock says the answer is easy: the people. The kindness and welcoming spirit of the community make it a special place to serve. Outside of work, He enjoys spending time on the golf course and expressing creativity through painting!
