The Town of Beaufort is requesting BIDS for TOPSAIL PARK GARDENS located in Beaufort, North Carolina:
Description: The Work to be performed under the Purchase Order includes: Site preparation and clearing; water service relocation, including 40 linear feet of 1” water line, backflow preventer and enclosure, and yard hydrant; site grading, and installation of 700 square feet of pavers including 6” concrete edge restraint, 820 sf of sod, rain garden plants, mulch, 250 linear feet of concrete curb, four benches, one trash receptacle enclosure, and two bike racks.
Bids from qualified Bidders will be received by Gregory K. Meshaw, PE, Town Engineer, until 3:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Beaufort Town Hall located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. There will be no public bid opening. Results of the Bids to include a bid tabulation will be provided upon award of the work to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder.
The PROJECT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at Town Hall located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Town of Beaufort reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
Contractors providing landscaping work must be registered with NC Landscape Contractors Board in accordance with chapter 89-D of the NC General Statutes.
E-VERIFY COMPLIANCE PROVISION: North Carolina General Statute §143-133.3 prohibits the Town from entering into contracts with contractors and subcontractors who have not complied with the requirement of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Contactor shall comply with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Further, if contractor utilizes a subcontractor, contractor shall require the subcontractor to comply with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
