ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS
Sealed proposals from qualified proposers for the WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUSITION (SCADA) SYSTEM UPGRADES project will be received by the Town Engineer of the Town of Beaufort at the conference room, Town Hall, 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC until 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
The work for which proposals are being sought includes the furnishing and installing of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) at the Town’s wastewater treatment facility to replace older PLCs that are part of the internal SCADA system used by Public Utilities staff to monitor and control multiple process units throughout the facility. The work is also expected to involve programming, testing, startup, and post-installation follow-up. The successful proposer shall be responsible for ensuring functional, trouble-free monitoring and control of process units by Public Utilities staff using the SCADA system.
The Town of Beaufort is requiring offerors to have conducted a site visit of the wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) where installation of equipment is anticipated prior to submitting their proposal. Individual tours will be offered from Monday, February 19 through Friday, February 23, 2024 with start times ranging between 9:00 am and 2:30 pm. Tours will begin at the WWTF administration building.
