Applicants Needed for Town of Beaufort Advisory Boards and Commissions
Would you like to play an active role in the governance of your Town? Interested in local Issues?
One major way residents can have a positive impact on the future of the Town of Beaufort is
volunteering to serve on various Town advisory boards and commissions. The residents who volunteer
for these positions are an important link that connects the public to its governing body and are the
advisers who make recommendations that ultimately shape the future of our Town.
The Town of Beaufort is currently recruiting residents who live within the Beaufort town limits for the
following vacancies:
• Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) – 2 positions
• Board of Adjustments – 1 position
• Planning Board – 1 position
These positions are for three-year terms, expiring in January 2024.
Interested residents are encouraged to apply by submitting a Volunteer Board Application found on the
Town’s website: https://www.beaufortnc.org/forms. Please submit a completed application no later
than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021 to Allen Coleman, Town Clerk and Assistant to the Town
Manager: a.coleman [at] beaufortnc.org. Members who are currently serving and would like to be
considered for reappointed must submit a new application.
The Town of Beaufort strives for diversity on volunteer advisory boards and commissions.
For additional information please email Allen Coleman at a.coleman [at] beaufortnc.org or call 252-728-2141; ext. 233.
