Beaufort Seeks Additional Public Input on Waterfront Project

BEAUFORT – The Beaufort Board of Commissioners have been working towards finding a solution for necessary upgrades to the Town’s waterfront.
In 2021, the Board appointed a Beaufort Harbor and Waterways Committee comprised of Town citizens to investigate, analyze, and make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners.
The Beaufort Harbor and Waterways Committee diligently compiled a comprehensive set of recommendations to enhance our beloved waterfront, reflecting our community's needs and aspirations.
On Monday, May 6, 2024, the Town hosted two public forums to seek further public input on the future of the Beaufort waterfront. For those who could not attend the forums in person an online survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/T8JXQ8J or by scanning the QR code.
The objective of the charette and survey is to gather information to refine the recommendations from the Beaufort Harbor and Waterways Committee. These are not just items on a list; they are the backbone of our waterfront's future. They will help us gauge the investment required and understand the economic implications of our choices.
The essence of this input is about laying a solid foundation for the future of the Beaufort waterfront.
