Grayden Paul Park Dock Closure – Nov. 8 – Closed for Repairs

The dinghy dock at Grayden Paul Park is in need of repairs. We will be closing the dock to all vessels starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2021. We have notification of the closing posted at the dock. Additionally, we have placed notification on all vessels currently at the dock and the Police Department is notifying those boats anchored in Taylor’s Creek. This information is also posted on the Town website and will be on Social Media.

Turner Street Lane Closure – Nov. 8-12 – One Lane Traffic Pattern

Turner Street from Ann to Front will be under construction for a crosswalk going in mid-block (north of Fishetown). The section of Turner Street between Font Street and Ann will be passable by one lane traffic only. Temporary lights will be installed at intersections to direct traffic. This will begin on Monday, Nov. 8 at 7 a.m. Work is scheduled to be complete by the end of the day on Friday Nov. 12. The Town’s contractor is installing an elevated crosswalk which will require closure of the road throughout the week on each travel lane to allow time for concrete to cure and crews to install pavers. Please be careful when traveling through this area and pay attention to the traffic signals.

Bridge Run – Saturday, Nov. 6 – 7-10 a.m.

Turner Street, Middle Lane and one lane of the high rise bridge will be closed for the duration of the race. Please use caution on Saturday morning if traveling in this area. The Farmers Market has been alerted so vendors can take an alternative route.

Randolph Johnson Park – The splashpad has closed for the season. See you next spring!  The playground/picnic areas remain open.

Loaves & Fishes 5K Run – Saturday, Nov. 13 – 7-10 a.m.

A 5K run will occur in downtown Beaufort along Front Street. Please use caution if traveling in the area during the race.
