Pursuant to Governor Cooper’s Executive Order 124, the Town of Beaufort will not disconnect utility services for nonpayment of charges incurred between March 31, 2020 and June 1, 2020. (The Town BOC voted on March 16 to suspend disconnection for nonpayment).
Late fees will not be charged during this time.
Payment arrangements will be reviewed for charges incurred between March 31 and June 1 for balances that are still outstanding on June 20, 2020.

March 16, 2020: Town Suspends Disconnection of Water Services for Nonpayment
We recognize that COVID-19 could potentially create financial hardships. Effective immediately, we are suspending disconnection of water services for nonpayment. We remain committed to working with all customers who need assistance with their utility bills by helping avoid the creation of additional hardships.
