POSITION: Reserve Police Officer
LOCATION: Beaufort, NC
SALARY: $17.36/hr
DUTIES: The Town of Beaufort is currently accepting applications for a Reserve Police Officer position in the police department. The Beaufort Police Department provides full police services to the community including community policing, traffic and criminal law enforcement, emergency response, investigations and special events. The department serves a community of approximately 4,500 permanent residents and with an increased summer population of residents, visitors, and summer guests.
REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will have to successfully complete the state mandated background and pre-hire process, along with other evaluation processes required by the police department.
All applicants must be eligible for immediate certification with N.C. Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission or eligible for lateral transfer if applying from another agency in North Carolina or out of state transfer. All applicants must also possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license at the time of appointment. Applicants with previous law enforcement experience, advanced education or advanced training in criminal justice or related field are preferred.
