CLOUD-BASED CELLULAR SCADA SYSTEM FOR SEWER PUMP STATIONS
ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS
Sealed proposals from qualified proposers for the CLOUD-BASED CELLULAR SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUSITION (SCADA) SYSTEM FOR SEWER PUMP STATIONS project will be received by the Town Engineer of the Town of Beaufort at the conference room, Town Hall, 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC until 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
The work for which proposals are being sought includes the furnishing and installing of a factory wireless data cellular based communication system for the purpose of monitoring and managing operations of twenty-five (25) sewage pump stations. The supplier of the communication system shall be responsible for coordination required to ensure equipment compatibility. The communication system shall be provided complete, in place, as specified herein and needed for a complete, proper installation.
The Town of Beaufort will offer a tour of the facilities where installation of communication equipment is anticipated. The tour will begin at Town Hall, first floor conference room, on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 9:00 am.
This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is subject to the competitive negotiation provisions outlined in North Carolina Statute §143-129.8, “Purchase of Information Technology Goods and Services.” As an RFP, this is not an invitation to bid and, although price is very important, other factors will be taken into consideration. The project scope, content of proposal, and selection process are summarized in the RFP.
Electronic copies of the RFP in Adobe format may be obtained from the Town via email transmission at no charge. The RFP may also be examined and/or obtained at Town Hall located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Complete, hardcopy versions may be obtained after receipt of a $10.00 non-refundable deposit per set. Deposits will not be refunded. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment. All checks are to be made payable to the Town of Beaufort.
In addition, the Town requires that proposals be sealed. Sealed proposals will be received at the location stated above. Proposals received by telephone, email, facsimile, or any other means of electronic transfer will not be accepted. The Town of Beaufort is not responsible for late delivery by the United States Postal Service or any other courier. All inquiries for information regarding this RFP are to be directed to the Town of Beaufort staff member issuing this request for proposals.
Proposers must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9 for all portions of the work that require licensure.
The Town of Beaufort reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all proposals, and to enter a contract based upon the proposal deemed to be in the Town’s best interest.
