CEDAR STREET PERVIOUS PAVEMENT CONSTRUCTION
ADVERTISEMENT FOR INFORMAL BIDS
Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the CEDAR STREET PERVIOUS PAVEMENT CONSTRUCTION will be received by the Town Engineer of the Town of Beaufort at the conference room, Town Hall, 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC until 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. There will be no public bid opening. Results of the Bids to include a bid tabulation will be provided upon award of the work to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder.
The Work to be performed under the Contract includes the construction of approximately 16,600 square feet of pervious pavement along Cedar Street between Orange and Marsh Streets. The pervious pavement will be constructed along the parking lanes of the street between bioswales that are currently being constructed by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Bids will be received on Single Prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis.
The Bidding Documents may be examined and/or obtained at Town Hall located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. The Town of Beaufort will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources.
Electronic copies in Adobe format of the complete contract documents may be obtained from the Town at no charge.
Bid and Contract securities shall be provided in accordance with Articles 10 and 23 of the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9.
The Town of Beaufort reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
