FY23 STREET REHABILITATION AND CONSTRUCTION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the FY23 STREET REHABILITATION AND CONSTRUCTION will be received by the Assistant Town Engineer of the Town of Beaufort at the conference room, Town Hall, 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC until 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The Work to be performed under the Contract consists of two parts: Part 1 includes the rehabilitation of four street segments totaling 1,800+ linear feet (LF) through a combination of patching, mill-patching, milling, and the placing of asphalt surface courses and reconstruction of four street segments totaling 2,400+ LF by cement stabilization of the bases and subsequent placement of asphalt surface courses and re-construction of existing sidewalk ramps to meet ADA standards for a total of eight street segments. Part 2 includes the construction of two new street connectors totaling 275+ LF of asphalt and base course, construction of 295 LF of water main extensions, replacement of 45 LF of sewer force main, and replacement and reconstruction of an existing storm water culvert.
Bids will be received on Single Prime contract basis. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis.
The Bidding Documents may be examined and/or obtained at Town Hall located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. The Town of Beaufort will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from other sources.
Electronic copies in Adobe format of the complete contract documents may be obtained from the Town at no charge.
Bid and Contract securities shall be provided in accordance with Articles 10 and 23 of the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and under Municipal Code 11-9.
The Town of Beaufort reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
