The Town of Beaufort is requesting BIDS for TIDAL CHECK VALVE AT QUEEN ST OUTFALL located in Beaufort, North Carolina.
Description: The work to be performed under the Purchase Order includes: Procurement and installation of one 24” inline storm water check valve at the Queen Street outfall. This includes preparation and cleaning of the outfall pipe. Installation may also require the use of barges and or hoists and timing of installation during low-tide periods.
Bids from qualified Bidders will be received by Sam Bell, PE, Town Engineer at the Beaufort Town Hall located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516 or by email at s.bell [at] beaufortnc.org (s[dot]bell[at]beaufortnc[dot]org), until 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Thursday, February 21, 2023. There will be no public bid opening. Results of the Bids to include a bid tabulation will be provided upon award of the work to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder.
The PROJECT DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at Town Hall located at 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment. The Town of Beaufort reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
E-VERIFY COMPLIANCE PROVISION: North Carolina General Statute §143-133.3 prohibits the Town from entering into contracts with contractors and subcontractors who have not complied with the requirement of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Contactor shall comply with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Further, if contractor utilizes a subcontractor, contractor shall require the subcontractor to comply with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
