Basketball & Tennis Courts

Freshly resurfaced tennis court - July 2023

Basketball and tennis courts are at the intersection of Cedar, Carteret and Hedrick Streets. A walking path connects the basketball and tennis courts to the restroom facilities at Louis Randolph Johnson Jr. Park. The basketball and tennis courts are available on a first come first serve basis. There are lights for evening play. The courts close at 10 p.m.

The basketball and tennis courts are open from sunrise until 10 p.m.

No pets, skateboards, rollerblades, skates, bikes, cleats or black soled shoes are permitted on either court. These are in addition to the Town of Beaufort Park Rules.

July 24, 2023: The courts have reopened with new surface and freshly painted lines to include pickleball lines.

March 2023: GOOD NEWS! We have a date for resurfacing of both the tennis and basketball court! The courts will be closed starting July 17, 2023 for 2 weeks for the contractor to resurface the courts and make perform repairs. Pickle ball lines will be added to the courts when they are resurfaced and painted.  We thank you for your patience while these facilities are closed.

March 2022: The tennis courts are due to be resurfaced and painted. This was scheduled for late spring/early summer of 2022; however, due to an extensive waiting list for the contractor this project has been delayed. The courts are in the que and will be completed as soon as possible. We thank your for your patience. Pickle ball lines will be added to the courts when they are resurfaced and painted.
