October 2019: The renovation project is still underway. There were unforeseen delays beyond the Town's control in 2019 which have caused the project to be pushed back with an anticipated opening in 2020. The road closure and stormwater project portion have been completed. The splash pad and playground equipment featured in the designs has been secured and is awaiting installation. In October 2019, the project was re-opened a second time for bids from contractors to complete the site work and construct the restroom/picnic shelter.  As soon as a contractor has been secured, a timeline of expected completion will be established. A grand re-opening will be scheduled as the project nears completion. We appreciate everyone's patience as this exciting project comes to fruition.  If you have questions, please contact Rachel Johnson, Parks & Events Coordinator and Public Information Officer, at r.johnson [at] beaufortnc.org or (252) 728-2141 ext. 231.
