Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Funded Generators - Complete 2023

Following Hurricane Florence, the Town applied for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funding for generators for Town Hall and the Public Works Facility. The purpose for the request for generator funding was to enhance the Town's future post-event recovery efforts. The Town was advised by the NC Department of Public Safety (NC DPS) on May 11, 2021 the Town's application for funding had been approved. The project will be administered by NC DPS using Federal Emergency Management Agency's hazard mitigation assistance grant funds. Accordingly, NC DPS is responsible for the project's timeline as well as, the budgeting and payment for the generators and the work to install them.
